THE NATURE PARK

The Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Regional Nature Park was established in 1997.It covers 9.167 hectares and boasts some extremely important natural features, includine the famous Frasassi Karst limestone caves. The park includes the municipal districts of Genga, Serra San Quirico, Acervia and Fabriano, all in the province of Ancona. It has often been referred to as the "green heart of the Marche". This is no doubt because of its central position in the region but also due to its interesting natural features, its historic and artistic heritage and the excellent food and wines that make it such a wonderful place to explere, with something of interest for even the most jaded tourist.
