Saint Vittore delle Chiuse, which is split in two parts by river Sentino, is connected by a roman bridge, of the Augustan Age, where there is a tower which works as head of bridge. This tower could be part of the fortified defensive system of Pierosara. It presents a passage that, toward the monastery, has a pointed arch, while to the other side is open. The origin of this fortified connection may go back to 13th century.
