The nine castles of Arcevia

Just 13 km from Genga we find Arcevia with its imposing boundary wall (13th to 16th century), including the remains of several watchtowers and four entry gates.

The nine castles of Arcevia – Avacelli, Castiglioni, Caudino, Loretello, Montale, Nidastore, Palazzo, Piticchio, San Pietro – are the town’s main attractions. These walled districts dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries have preserved their distinctive features to this day.
